- Events: Parents can be part of this committee to plan and execute special events such as holiday parties, staff appreciation events (in coordination with the Staff Appreciation committee), Halloween Parade, End of the Year Party, and yearly fundraisers.
- Long Range Planning: Identifies long range issues for the ACCC. Researches, discusses, and makes recommendations to the Board to address the long-range issues as they arise. Identifies grants that would help address the long range issues and that also are available to daycare centers and non-profit organizations.
- Playground/Outside Committee: A large part of our children’s day is spent outside enjoying the great California weather. The ACCC aims to provide stimulating activities outside as well as inside, but the equipment to do this has to be planned, maintained and budgeted. You can help by assisting with playground maintenance and playground upgrades, such as repairing play structures or maintaining the tricycles. You can work alongside the Facilities Commitees on playground related Parent Work Day Items. In addition to the physical maintenance, this committee also contacts and requests quotes for future construction projects, such as the Pre-K Patio Shade.
